About the location

The hotel and riding school overlooks meadows and woods which stand 750 metres above sea-level, high on the slopes of the Poggio di Montieri mountain range, offering you breathtaking 360 degree views.

A naturally diverse landscape and sturdy reliable horses native to the region, there is something for every level and rider to experience, with new things to experience every day.

This lovely hotel and horse & trail centre has been run by the same family for over 45 years who will match your level and attributes with the best horse for you and you’ll be off hitting the trails in no time; as slowly as you need to or galloping through the river.

Your hotel sits on top of a hill, with the horses' stables & fields located just 300 metres away and you’ll enjoy your own private ensuite room with a terrace overlooking the valley below. In your free time, head to the pool to cool down or sign on for a full day ride and make the most out of your time in the Tuscan countryside.

As well as immediate access to a rich landscape that is a nature lover’s paradise, filled with forests, clearly marked trails and the chance to get a glimpse of the wildlife, there is also the opportunity to explore the region further. Why not head out to a nearby medieval village, catch the morning bus and explore Sienna or ask your hosts the best way to get to the beach.

Take this rare opportunity to explore rural Italy in a way that will give you a whole new perspective; you won’t believe how much there is to discover on horseback rather than average bus tour or car. In your free time, get to know the locals in the nearby village or fill up on delicious Tuscan classics.

Whether it's your first time on a horse, or your first time in Italy, taking a horse riding holiday in the Tuscan sunshine will make for a truly unforgettable holiday.
