Holiday Itinerary

Choosing to combine learning the French language with hands-on cooking lessons in France is the best way to accelerate your language learning as you'll be immersed in the language and local culture throughout your stay.

On this unique language course you’ll be learning French in the mornings before heading into the kitchen 3 times during your stay to learn the art of French pâtisserie, typically whipping up French classics which can include macarons, eclairs and choux pastry, fraisier (strawberry gâteau) and Normandy apple tart.

You'll be speaking French from day 1 and find yourself progressing rapidly as you practise your new skills and vocabulary both inside and outside the classroom. Taught by highly qualified native French speakers, groups are small and you'll be placed according to your level when you arrive so you can be sure that you'll be making the most of your time there.

The friendly staff at the language school also organise a weekly schedule of social and cultural activities - it's a great way to meet other people at the school, practice your French and experience the very best Rouen and the region of Normandy.

What are the typical students like?
- People come from all over the world and you’ll never be placed in a class with just English speakers so that you use the language you are learning rather than resorting to chatting in English
- Ages vary, but the typical language learner falls in to the 20-60 age bracket though we have no age limit and we’ve had guests in their 70s and 80s studying languages with us
- During the summer and in university holiday times average age can drop
- Over 90% of our language learners travel solo and every school organises social and cultural activities to help you get to know others at the school outside of class
- Of course, everyone shares a passion or interest in discovering a new language and culture
